I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a 16GB HP Touchpad. I even found a very nice case (http://www.amazon.com/Acase-TouchPad-Quality-Premium-9-7-inch/dp/B005HMUSOO/). I have to say I've enjoyed it more than I thought, but I can see where someone might find the WebOS a bit limiting. It works fine for Twitter and as a limited media player. I'll find out how well during my trip to Germany. I've got preware installed and all the typical fixes so I can't complain about performance. I don't think it will replace my netbook for lightweight computing, but I suppose it could. I have found a few apps and utilities, but nothing compelling. The one thing I would really like is a Netflix client. But I don't foresee that for the WebOS anytime soon.

I always thought getting the hardware was the bargain and that eventually I'd end up with an Android OS. I got a link on Twitter from +Jason Hofferle about CyanongenMod. I wish I had time to tinker now with this. If you do, I hope you'll share your experiences.
