This article was originally published 28 October, 2019<\/em>].<\/p>\n<p>Last year I shared some PowerShell code on Twitter about this time of year. I have a short script that uses Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to create a spooky graphical prompt that allows you to ask questions of a Magic 8 Ball (this name may be trademarked or otherwise protected). For those of you who may not be familiar with it, this is a toy shaped like a giant 8 ball from a billiards game. You ask a question aloud, shake the ball, and look at the bottom to get an answer. I did the same thing with PowerShell.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jdhitsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/8balloracle-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"8balloracle-1\" src=\"https:\/\/jdhitsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/8balloracle-1_thumb.png\" alt=\"8balloracle-1\" width=\"782\" height=\"343\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jdhitsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/8balloracle-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"8balloracle-2\" src=\"https:\/\/jdhitsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/8balloracle-2_thumb.png\" alt=\"8balloracle-2\" width=\"782\" height=\"343\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nothing more than a little harmless fun. Although the code demonstrates how easy it is to put together a simple WPF form.
