Several years ago Don Jones and I wrote what we hoped would be the definitive book on PowerShell scripting and toolmaking. The book takes all off our years of experience, not only from writing PowerShell code, to teaching and conference presentations where we hear first hand what people struggle with.<\/p>\n

We published the book on Leanpub so that we could easily update it. Our book is setup so that once you buy a copy you receive future updates at no additional cost. There won't be a 2nd edition that you have to buy. Instead, you'll re-download "The Forever Edition".<\/p>\n

I've had a list of content updates I've been meaning to get to for ages, but updating the book always got pushed to the back burner. Finally<\/em><\/strong> I had a block of free time to devote to the book. I'm happy to report that an updated version has been published. If you own the book and opted in for email alerts, you should have been notified about the new version.<\/p>\n

For the rest of you, now is your time to add this book to your library. With previous versions of the book we published a module to the PowerShell Gallery with all of our demo code and samples. All of that is now in an Extras zip file you can download from Leanpub once you've purchased a copy.<\/p>\n
